It was nice to meet Bethany and Peter Adrian in person :)
It felt funny seeing them move...because you never see them move and talk--you know what I mean. haha, I also got to meet Alyssa Wanjai and her friend.
The event was really nice, but kind of small considering we went through everything fast. But I'm guessing that's because most of the items were out of our usual spending range. It was definitely out of mine, but I really got inspired. New DIY's to try haha...
As I walked back to the Parking Lot we passed by Micheal Levine's and they had a 70% off sale on certain fabrics... and so I was very happy.
(i came across this article of Alyssa's. its hilariously true.)
well yeah, I wore this to the event and the outfit is rather casual. The pretty cardigan is from a box of abandons in my friend's closet. The vibe it gives is nice because it's different and maybe it's just me, but the itchy level wasn't terrible. thank goodness.
-"itchy" cool printed/sheerish cardi
-greeny colored shirt on the inside
idk about that one ^^^
i have my weirdo moments...

The Lennon Glasses
The oh-so-chic, John Lennon known glasses have taken rise in my school. Of course keep in mind that the people that go to my school are artsy & DIFFERENT. But what bothers me.... is that I have had these beautiful lenses on my wish list since quite a few years ago. But I never spent money on them for one reason or another. Now that I see a handful of people who wear these glasses regularly, I sort of don't want any classmates to see me with them.
Why? because I'm not part of the crowd, and I don't wish to look like one who follows "THAT" other person...(you know the ideas that people get, they think the world revolves around them) -_-
What do you think? Should I just not care and get them anyways... or forget about the glasses in all?
but as a second note...those lense style glasses mean much more to me than just a trend. To me, they show a bit of your music inspiration & the side of you that wants to stay alone for a while.
* I do not own any credits for pictures above. They are displayed here for example use only
This was actually meant to be posted over the summer but it just somehow slipped my mind... as you can tell these items were trending just this past summer :)
it was definitely a craze I enjoyed. haha, but now a very dedicated friend, Imani is having her club think about what will be trending for fashion in 2012 spring/summer. Her fashion show is in January and I'm really excited to start the researching!
P.S. Today was a very mellowy monday (due to the time change [in the U.S.] we all got one more hour of sleep and it felt goooood) or am i the only one who felt that way?
